A conference that examines playful uses of technology in gaming from an academic research perspective, Meaningful play is about theory, research, and innovation in game design. It brings scholars and industry professionals together to push games to further inform, educate, and entertain in meaningful ways.

Held at Carnegie Mellon University in 2024, the visual language utilizes a colorful and bold version of the university’s color palette. This design system was created with the conference’s audience and location in mind - a diverse mix of professionals and educators at a research university who work in a technical yet rapidly evolving and playful industry.  
My role
I worked as the sole designer to create the brand identity and assets for this conference.
